Dohn Construction Response to COVID-19

At Dohn Construction, the health, safety and well-being of our team members, customers and subcontractors will always be the top priority. We are continually following the reports about the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and are closely tracking the guidelines issued by local, state and federal authorities. We are taking this situation seriously and continuing proactive measures to safeguard our business operations while protecting our team and our community.

Actions in Place:
• Our leadership team is closely monitoring information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization and local agencies to ensure actions we are taking follow the latest recommendations and guidance to help prevent the spread of the virus. Dohn’s leadership maintains regular communication with all of our team members to preserve everyone’s livelihood including our customers and subcontractors.
• Effective immediately, both Dohn office locations in Fort Collins and Denver will be closed to visitors and non-essential personnel. All employees able to work remotely are encouraged to do so until further notice. Team members not able to, or choosing not to work remotely, are to contain their travel to their primary work location (i.e., office or jobsite) and maintain safe social distancing of at least 6 feet from others while in any work environment. Jobsite trailers will also be closed to visitors and non-essential personnel for the time being.
• As a precaution, both Dohn offices and all jobsites are following a deep cleaning schedule using cleaning products/materials approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for use against COVID-19. All jobsites now have hand washing stations and hand sanitizer has been made readily available. In addition, signage detailing good hygiene practices has been posted in multiple locations throughout our offices and jobsites in an effort to help prevent the spread of the virus.
• Dohn Construction already utilizes technology and procedures to allow our employees to communicate effectively while working remotely. We do not expect disruption in our availability via email and/or phone. Our team members have been instructed to maximize the use of teleconferencing and/or videoconferencing when possible for all meetings in order to reduce personal contact and practice safe social distancing. When not possible, meetings will be held in open well-ventilated spaces.
• Team members are asked to avoid large gatherings with over 10 attendees during personal time until May, 2020. We will continue to evaluate large group meetings within our organization and implement alternatives as appropriate. Adjusting or postponing large meetings or gatherings is also recommended.
• All team members are instructed to stay home if: they are feeling sick, if they have a family member that feels sick, if they experience COVID-19 symptoms, or have been in direct contact with someone who is symptomatic or has been diagnosed.
• PTO is available to most Dohn team members. If any team member has extenuating circumstances outside of their control, or they need to be at home for any reason, the Dohn leadership team is available via email or phone to listen and address any and all concerns. Dohn Construction is committed to helping all team members through this unprecedented situation.
• Many products provided to Dohn Construction may originate from impacted regions. Our leadership team is regularly monitoring the impact of these delays to our projects and will communicate with our customers, partners and suppliers to discuss contingency plans if an impact is anticipated.

As more information becomes available, the status of our office and jobsite operations will be updated on this web page. We want to thank all of our team members, customers and subcontractors for their patience during this time. As a team, we will continue to work hard and we will get through this together.
